SemCon2008

Last September 9-10, I got a rare chance to attend to the fascinating and prestigious Search Engine Marketing Conference 2008 in Intercontinental Hotel. It was a very enriching experience and I truly learned a lot.

Along with my friend, Jeffrey, we met a lot of great people in the industry that we're in. From individual site owners to executives of big companies to presidents, this is definitely a truly rewarding experience. Also, the topics discussed are very interesting especially the social media optimization and how to pitch bloggers. But our top favorite is indeed, the Viral Marketing topic that was discussed by Mr. Ed Mapa. After seeing those examples, I've been inspired and until now, I'm trying to create one but not starring me... har har..

We also met a very nice girl from Iloilo, Charmaine who's working in an outsourcing company and Garry who's still in touch with us. Well... the two days conference also got us the chance to know the SEO Philippines founder, Marc Macalua and my idol blogger from YugaTech.com. Mr. Abe Olandres. We also even got the chance to take a picture with him. Here it is.

I still have a lot of stories to share but memories are just kept on running after another. =) To top it, more than the knowledge, it's the experience of how to be in the world of people who's doing the same thing just gave me the sense of belonging. I hope to attend again...
